Our Class Assembly

A definite highlight has been our class assembly. We created a fantastic pantomime version of Jack and the Beanstalk. It was packed full of action, dance, music and most importantly - hilarious jokes. We loved performing it just as much as the audience loved watching it.

Our trip to the Postal Museum

We had a fantastic time visiting the London Postal Museum. We learn't so much about how post has been delivered through the ages. We dressed up as post officers,  operated machines that were used for organizing letters and we even took a ride in a real underground train that used to deliver post across London. We loved every second - even if Matt did get scared in the train.

We loved every second of our India topic!  We learnt about the unique history, culture and geography of the country. A highlight was our ‘India celebration day’ in which we took part in a number of fantastic activities: We made tea, tried out a Kathakali dance, played cricket, created artwork out of spices and dressed up in traditional Indian clothing. We loved all of the activities and it was a great way to finish our ‘Indian journey’.

In English, we studied a fantastic book called “The Cloud Tea Monkeys” by Mal Peet and Elspeth Graham. We used drama, mime, art and even tea tasting to really immerse ourselves with the story and characters. We were so proud of the writing we ended up producing.
