We have experimented with making pop ups. We used our school story, Jack and the Beanstalk, as inspiration for our designs. Here is a version of The Giant by Max. We compiled our ideas into a pop up book which we enjoy reading in our classroom!

For our Communicate and Celebrate topic, we learned about different types of communication and had the chance to visit the Postal Museum. Here we were given the chance to ride on an underground train that used to deliver mail all over London!

We celebrated the end of our India topic with a fun-filled day packed with different activities inspired by India. In Swan Class, we explored Indian food. We discussed and smelt different spices used in traditional Indian dishes and created some (rather strong smelling) paintings with them!

Swan Class were lucky enough to kick off this year's fantastic class assemblies. We worked with Jo to recreate the Indian fable, 'The Elephant's Friend' and showed off our fantastic acting skills. We also worked in pairs to construct our own Indian dance moves; these were cleverly put together to make a whole class dance! Here is a picture of us in action!
