In Science, we learnt about the body. We thought about which parts of the body are associated with each sense and how that helps us to experience the world around us. We used our computer skills to find fantastic body facts, had some experience of what it might be like to live with a sensory impairment and made some incredible homework projects!

We also found out about health and the important work of nurses Florence Nightingale and Mary Seacole. We used role-play to portray the injured soldiers being helped on the battlefield and used some of the ingredients and tools  that Mary Seacole used to make medicine.

As part of our topic, 'Goodies and Baddies', we visited the Tower of London. We traveled back in time with our tour guide to find out about Guy Fawkes and The Gunpowder Plot. Remember, remember, the fifth of November....

We read Jack and the Beanstalk and retold the story in different ways. We took part in a workshop to use costume, movement and drama to bring the story to life.

For our topic, Toys and Games, we designed and made our own board games over the holidays. We brought our games to school and played them with our friends. We had to make sure that we wrote instructions and could verbally explain these to our friends to help them to play.
