Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Position Type: Support Staff 

Contract Type: Fixed Term contract for 1 year, in first instance

Grade/pay range: Scale 2 Point 11-13

Salary details (annual): £19,896 – £19,935  FTE

Actual pro rata salary if part-time: £14,500

Working hours: 30 hours 

Working pattern: Term time only 

Job Start Date: As soon as possible

The school

Stoneydown is an inclusive community school that has been judged by OFSTED as a good school, offering  excellent care, guidance and support for pupils.

Stoneydown Park Primary School is right at the heart of the local community and is a friendly, multicultural school in Walthamstow, East London. The school adjoins an attractive park and is two minutes’ walk from bus routes and Blackhorse Road station. Walthamstow High Street and market is five minutes’ walk away.

Staff are more than willing to help each other, share good practice, be on hand for advice and generally work together as part of a team to make Stoneydown a positive school to work in for staff, children and visitors.

 

The post

We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support teaching in class, work with individual pupils and support children with Special Educational Needs  as required.  The post will be for one year in the first instance but is likely to continue after that if funding is confirmed. The person we appoint will be positive, caring and hardworking and will join our excellent team of support staff who are very much valued at Stoneydown.
